Everything was going well in Nagyrev, but suddenly the cases of death of men started increasing here. According to the BBC report, some people were murdered in the year 1911. Still, it could not be known who was behind these deaths. This continued till 1929. Meanwhile, more than 50 men were murdered. Poison was used for these murders.
When the case of such murder of men came to light, it was found that the killers were none other than their wives. When the matter was investigated, it was found that a midwife named Jojsana Fajkas was involved in it. Actually, the women of this village trusted this midwife a lot and shared all the things related to their personal lives with her. When the women told about the atrocities committed by their husbands, the midwife offered to help them.
According to reports, it was customary for the women of this village to get married at a very young age. In many cases, the age of the men was much older than the girls. It was said that these men used to harass these women. At the same time, these women used to go to that midwife with their problems. This midwife had poisoned them to get rid of their husbands.
